Bio

Samuel Richie is a theatre artist working in and around the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. He holds a BA in theatre arts from San Francisco State University, and a MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Academy in DC, in conjunction with The George Washington University.

His work has strong roots in Shakespeare and classical theater. He has also worked with devised theater ensembles, building dynamic pieces through the Viewpoints movement technique. He is a member of the Santa Cruz Performance Gym, an interdisciplinary performance training collective focused on various physical theater techniques to further education and practice of ensemble work. Most recently he was seen on the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company stage in A Christmas Carol as Bob Cratchit.
